THE OBSERVER’S TWENTY PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE WEEK: 27TH APRIL 2013

Apartment towers and the International Commerce Centre are seen through a work of art entitled ‘Poetic Cosmos of the Breath’ by Argentine artist Tomás Saraceno in Hong Kong

Tomas Saraceno worked on a series of work titled ‘Poetic Cosmos of the Breath’ and this shows how the photographer works.  By blowing up a huge solar dome, Saraceno uses this as a kind of filter to photograph the subjects on the other side. This is great as it allows change of colour and a range of colours throughout the photograph.

Due to the difference in tones in the colours, I thought these would be enhanced more in black and white.
