THE OBSERVER’S TWENTY PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE WEEK: 16TH MARCH 2013

As usual, I love a photograph with interesting light. With this, the lighting in the background shining vertically down really defines the person in the photograph. You can see the light source in the background shining down on the model and the affect it has.

One World Trade Center emerges from the clouds in the night sky in a photo from a plane passing over New York.

 

This picture shows the top of the recently constructed Freedom Tower. This being the only thing souring above the clouds, I see it as a memoir for 9/11. The quality of this image isn’t great due to the darkness, however, the light glowing from the One World Trade Center is quite sentimental.
